Comparing US Cities by Population

When it comes to comparing and ranking cities, one of the most important factors is their population density. A city’s population density has an impact on infrastructure, transportation, and living standards. While some people prefer living in a smaller, more suburban city, others prefer the hustle and bustle of a large city. This article examines population density for major US cities. It will give you a general idea of how these cities compare to each other.

New York City – As America’s largest city, New York City is fast-paced and energetic. It is home to iconic neighborhoods, museums, and entertainment venues. While housing costs can be high in a major city, the city offers a diverse population, plenty of job opportunities, and ideal weather. And with a population of more than 8 million, New York is still the country’s most populous city. However, housing costs are high and have forced many to move elsewhere.

As of the most recent United States Census, there are over 300 incorporated places in the United States. These places do not have a separate municipal government, but their population is large enough to form a separate city. Most of these places are overwhelmingly Democratic, although there are a few incorporated Republican cities. However, there are several other places in the US that have large populations. For example, New York City has the largest population per capita, while Los Angeles is the second largest.
